How bookings, payments and projects work with DJH. Straightforward terms, no surprises.
Last updated: July 2026
How payment works depends on the size of the project, agreed with you before any work begins:
In every case, final edited files, footage and deliverables are only released once payment has been received in full. Your booking is only confirmed once the upfront payment or deposit has been received.
I accept a range of payment methods for convenience: Stripe, PayPal, bank transfer and cash. Details are provided on your invoice or booking confirmation. Prices are agreed in writing before work begins — you’ll always know the cost upfront.
Each project is quoted individually based on the work involved. The agreed quote covers the scope discussed at booking. Significant additions or changes beyond the original brief may affect the price, which will always be discussed and agreed with you first — never charged as a surprise.
A reasonable number of revisions is included to get the edit right. What’s included will be confirmed at booking. Minor tweaks and adjustments are all part of the process.
However, revisions cover refinements to the agreed work — not a change of direction. Major changes that effectively rework the project into something new (a different concept, style or brief) fall outside the original scope and would be treated and quoted as a separate project.
If you need to reschedule, please give as much notice as possible and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
Cancellations made with at least 10 days’ notice before a confirmed booking or shoot date allow me time to fill the slot, so your deposit can be refunded or moved to a rescheduled date. Cancellations with less than 10 days’ notice mean the deposit is non-refundable, as the time has been reserved and other work turned away. If I have to cancel for any reason, your deposit is fully refunded.
For on-location filming, please be ready at the agreed time. If access, the vehicle or the location isn’t ready and the shoot can’t go ahead as planned, it may need to be rescheduled and additional travel or time may be chargeable. I’ll always be reasonable and communicate clearly.
Standard turnaround is 2–8 days after filming or after usable footage is received, depending on the project. Timescales are confirmed at booking. Delays caused by late footage, feedback or payment may extend delivery.
Once fully paid, you’re free to use the finished content for your agreed purposes. I retain the right to display completed work in my own portfolio, showreel, social media and promotional material unless we agree otherwise in writing beforehand.
Where footage is supplied by you, you confirm you have the right to use it and to have it edited.
Footage and content I record may also be included in clip packs — footage bundles I sell for other creators to use in their own projects. If you’d prefer your footage not be included in clip packs, just let me know before the shoot and I’ll keep it out. This is separate from portfolio and social use, which is covered above.
If there’s anything you don’t want filmed or shown — number plates, documents, faces, address details or other private information — please tell me before the shoot. The best approach is to remove or cover anything private beforehand.
For property, estate or similar shoots, please clear the space of anything personal or confidential before filming. If you’d like number plates or other details blurred in the final edit, let me know in advance and I’ll sort it.
I take every project seriously and deliver to a professional standard. My liability for any project is limited to the total amount paid for that project. I’m not liable for indirect losses.
Any questions about these terms? Email contact@djhvsuls.uk before booking and I’ll happily talk them through. Submitting a booking enquiry and paying a deposit confirms you’ve read and accepted these terms.
